About The Universal Vehicle Appraisers Group:
Background information about Ed Grieve, owner of Sunburn Auto Appraisals, and the manager of Universal Vehicle Appraisers Group.
I have been interested in collector and custom vehicles since the age of 15. I have restored numerous 1950s cars and I currently own a custom 1959 Corvette with a blown 350 cu. in. engine, and a rare 1957 Canadian Pontiac Laurentian convertible.
Because of my love for classic, custom and collector cars I started Sunburn Auto Appraisals back in 1990 as a part-time home based business. After five years of appraising part-time, I gave up my 9 to 5 job and went full-time with the appraisal business.
I branched out and began doing appraisals on a variety of vehicles other than cars. I also do appraisals on vehicles that have been involved in an accident to determine their value just prior to the accident.
A person being offered less than current market value for his or her vehicle from his or her insurance company can use this information to increase the settlement he or she receives.
In 2006, I started the Universal Vehicle Appraisers Group, and have helped other appraisers fulfill their dream of being self-employed and becoming successful in the automotive appraisal field.
